Step into the spotlight at the Realm Makers Costume Contest and Parade on Thursday, June 25th! Held during the Awards Banquet, this cherished tradition is all about showcasing YOU.
Come display your creativity and imagination through cosplay. Whether you’re competing solo or with a group, wearing a handmade masterpiece or a favorite store-bought costume, everyone is welcome to join the fun. Show off your character, craftsmanship, and flair as part of this exciting parade and contest experience. We can’t wait to see what you create!
Important Eligibility Note: To participate in the Costume Contest and Parade, contestants must have either an Awards Banquet ticket or a Writers Conference ticket.

How the Parade Works
Don’t worry if you’ve never walked a stage before! Here is exactly what you can expect during the parade:
The Route: Individuals will walk in line from Grand B/C into Grand D/E/F, looping around the back wall up to the stage stairs.
The Introduction: As you approach, Lauren will announce your name, your character, and your submitted fun fact to the audience.
The Poses: When you step onto the stage, you will strike a pose in three distinct spots: Stage Left, Center Stage, and Stage Right.
The Exit: After your poses, exit Stage Right and make your way to your designated seat in the Ballroom to enjoy the rest of the evening.
The Ceremonies: Once all contestants have walked the stage, the official ceremonies will begin!
Judging and Prizes
The Finalists: The top 3 finalists will be selected by a panel of 3 secret judges stationed in the audience. Finalists will be announced at the start of the award ceremony.
The Winner: The ultimate winner is chosen by audience applause—so bring your best energy to the stage!
The Prize: The winner can pick up their prize inside the Realm Makers Bookstore.
