Job Types - Which One Fits You?
Registration:
- Volunteers at the registration table will either be:
- Registration Cashiers: Work with the virtual register to assist people who purchase tickets at the door
- Registration Checkers (VIP or General): Assist people in checking in who have already purchased tickets
- Bag Handlers: Hand registration bags to attendees
Greeters/Door Attendants:
- Greeters: Set the vibe with a smile as guests arrive.
- Check badges/wristbands to make sure everyone who comes in has purchased tickets
- Door Attendants: Monitor screenings and special event rooms to admit ticket holders only
Floor Security:
- Walk the floor of the showroom to ensure a safe and smooth event; report issues to event staff
Information Booth:
- Ready to answer attendee questions about Realm Makers, the Expo program, and the showroom floor
Bookstore:
- Help keep the Realm Makers Bookstore neat and tidy
- Stock the books
- Run errands for the people that run the bookstore
May involve lifting, bending, getting down on the floor frequently
Floaters:
- Relieve people from Realm Makers and sponsor booths for breaks
- Fill gaps in any area
- Help with errands for Expo management
Qualifications
YOU can volunteer if…
- You’re 18+ years old
- You have a friendly attitude
- You’re ready to commit to at least 6 hours of fun
No experience needed—bring your enthusiasm! (Convention/conference know-how is a bonus)
